Each year the Junior Regional Orienteering Squads selectors choose up to 24 junior orienteers from across the four nations to take part in a week long residential orienteering training camp.

A joint DFOK/Saxons team took part in both PPJR races, coming third in the small clubs category as well as winning a brace of 'spot' prizes for individual and team prowess.

Some dates for your family diary

Later in the season there are three special junior only competitions for which all our club events are really good training.

All Saxons events have courses suitable for new and improving juniors.

Juniors who have joined Saxons and have completed more than 3 Saxons events can get a free Saxons Junior Squad top to wear with pride at events.

Saxons have a 'loyalty' card system to encourage participation at events. Make sure that your loyalty card is completed for every event you attend.

You can score points for your school at Saxons Saturday morning events.

Saxons and neighbouring club Dartford Orienteers organise an annual Juniors only festival.

The South East Junior Squad is aimed at juniors in the 14-18 age groups
