Explanation of event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships. Virtual events are where there are no physical controls being used. Your presence at a control is registered using an App on your mobile phone, normally the free MapRun App.

Report
I hope you all enjoyed your game of snooker in Manor Park Country Park. Fortunately, the weather, although wet, wasn't quite as bad as forecast.
Results are now online without / with the handicap applied. Split times for all the controls you visited are also available. These have been adjusted to take into account the few controls which weren't quite in the same time zone as the majority, so no more negative splits. I've also credited a second visit to control 52 for those who finished the first section of the course on yellow and then started the final section there too.
Congratulations to Alison on winning and I'm looking forward to seeing what devious scheme you come up with for next year.

Course Information
Welcome to snooker-O. The event will be a mass start score event with a 45 minute time limit.
The aim is to complete the highest snooker break by finding the controls. There will be 10 reds, numbered 40 to 49, and 6 colours (yellow to black, numbered 52 to 57).
The sequence of controls is to "pot" a red followed by any colour, then another red and colour until all 10 reds have been cleared or time runs out. After that, move on to the colours in the sequence shown in the table below. Each red control can only be used once. The colour controls can be used multiple times.
Points scoring will be the same as on a snooker table with a penalty of 3 points per minute or part minute late.
Red | 1 point | |
Yellow | 2 points | |
Green | 3 points | |
Brown | 4 points | |
Blue | 5 points | |
Pink | 6 points | |
Black | 7 points |
