Local level event
Explanation of event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships. Virtual events are where there are no physical controls being used. Your presence at a control is registered using an App on your mobile phone, normally the free MapRun App.

Course Information
Two 60 minute score courses are offered, Short and Long, suitable for all abilities.
There are 22 controls numbered 90 – 111; visit as many as you can. 10 points per control, 5 points penalty per minute/part minute beyond 60 minutes.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Short course: Controls may be visited in any order. Max score 220 points.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Long course: Special rule! Once you have visited a control, the next control has to be one with a higher number, to score.
To get the maximum score (220 points) the controls would have to be visited in sequence 90-91-92……110-111-Finish, within 60 minutes. On the Long course map this sequence will be shown with a dashed line between the controls.
You may miss controls out, to get your best score within 60 minutes! So 92-95-99-102-103-106-109-Finish is fine (70 points)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Courses close at 13.30.
Controls will be SIAC enabled. Separate/loose control descriptions will be available.
After your run please Download as normal. Timing printouts will be provided and the results will be available on the website.
