PLEASE NOTE WE ARE USING A DIFFERENT CAR PARK TO THE NORMAL KNC CAR PARK FOR HAYSDEN. Leave A21 at Tonbridge South exit (TQ 582449) and follow A26 down the hill towards Tonbridge. Turn left at first roundabout (opposite Shell garage) into Brook Street. After 1km turn right and follow signs to Haysden Country Park. Continue to the main country park car park (for the first time at a KNC). Nearest postcode: TN11 9BE
Tonbridge Station is 2.5km from the event car park and close to Pizza Express.
Registration & Start Times
Registration: 19:00 to 19:15 (please don’t be late).
Briefing and mass start at 19:30 sharp.
Course Information
60 minute score suitable for all abilities. 20 controls maximum. Come and enjoy yourselves!
If you are new to Night Orienteering and would like someone to help you get started please email the organiser or make yourself known on the night.
1:7,500 scale map with 5m contours, updated 2015. Maps will be printed on A4 waterproof paper.
Explanation of Score courses
You don't have to visit all the controls! There is usually a time limit, instead of a set course. Points are scored for visiting controls, and deducted for finishing over the time limit. You decide which controls to visit, and in which sequence. Sometimes controls have different points values. You will need to carry a watch or phone, so you know how long you have been out.
Entry Details
Entry on the Day: Seniors £4, Juniors £1. Dibber hire £1.
Please email the organiser if you intend coming so we know how many maps to print.
SPORT IDENT dibbers to hire if you don’t have one. Some sort of torch essential plus a small backup/reserve. Carrying a whistle is mandatory (as a casualty, blow six short blasts, wait 1 min, repeat)
Terrain Description
Flat and runnable with many streams and lakes, a railway line and the River Medway with fixed crossing points to test route choice. We will be starting from the middle of the map
Facilities
Apres O and prizegiving: Pizza Express (opposite the Castle), 91 High Street Tonbridge TN9 1DR. Good parking available in Waitrose car park. From event car park, turn left and follow Lower Haysden Road to junction with Brook Street. Turn left and follow Brook Street back to the A26 turning left at the mini-roundabout. Continue straight on over next roundabout. Turn right at roundabout just past station into Vale Road. Continue past Sainsbury and take next left into Avenue du Puy. Turn left at mini roundabout into Sovereign Way. Car park is on left hand side.
Prizes for many who go to Pizza Express.

During the on-line entry process, you will select your preferred start window from those available for your course. You must then make payment to reserve your start window. Please do not turn up at the event unless you have pre-entered. If you need help with the registration process please contact the event organiser.
On event day turn up for your allocated start slot
Please move away from the map box after collecting your map.
At control sites do not touch the control, and move through quickly.
Do not congregate at the Finish.
At Download please get your breath back and recover before downloading.
