Local level event
Explanation of event levels
Local events are usually low key and in the 'localised' area, ideal for newcomers to try the sport and Training events are non competitive and used for training and coaching, aimed at members of the club, but they can attract people from neighbouring clubs, and are often ideal for newcomers to try the sport. Regional events attract participants from around the local Region, National events are high quality competitions that will attract people from far away, Major events are Major Events such as a British Championships. Virtual events are where there are no physical controls being used. Your presence at a control is registered using an App on your mobile phone, normally the free MapRun App.

Our thanks go to Forestry England for permission to use the smaller car park, enabling us to use a slightly different area for a change.
23 intrepid night orienteers including a group and a junior braved the inclement weather, with the mist adding to the complexity of route choice to bag as many dumbbells as possible. Well done to Brendon, who bagged 18 controls and 6 dumbbells for the win. It was pleasing to see folk disappear in different directions, and a good variety of route choice. Thanks go to Peter, Simon, John, Brian, Andrew, Sam, & Graham T for efficient control collecting.
Apres-O was well attended at nearby The Stag, who kindly extended their serving times for us.
