Event Report

We are grateful to the Woodland Trust for allowing us to hold this round of the KNC at Hargate. It was inevitably a bit wet, muddy and slippery after the rain recently, and no one managed to get the max 220 points. As I had intended, many went for the dumbell bonuses. These control pairs were selected so you had the opportunity to sample the nicer parts of the forest, if using a straight line route.

Our thanks to the control collectors Hal, Neil, Sean & Andrew, and it was nice to have a chat at the Opera House afterwards with those who could make it.

Explanation of Score courses

You don't have to visit all the controls! There is usually a time limit, instead of a set course. Points are scored for visiting controls, and deducted for finishing over the time limit. You decide which controls to visit, and in which sequence. Sometimes controls have different points values. You will need to carry a watch or phone, so you know how long you have been out.
