Course Information

60 minute score with 20 controls, suitable for all abilities – with some ‘easier’ controls for beginners/novices. Visit as many controls as you can in the hour. One point per control with bonus points available for any consecutive control numbers found (e.g. 91,92,93 would give 3 + 2 bonus points)

Time Penalty of 1 point per minute, or part, over the 60 mins.

1:7,500 scale map with 5m contours; updated October 2014. Maps will be printed on A4 waterproof paper.

Explanation of Score courses

You don't have to visit all the controls! There is usually a time limit, instead of a set course. Points are scored for visiting controls, and deducted for finishing over the time limit. You decide which controls to visit, and in which sequence. Sometimes controls have different points values. You will need to carry a watch or phone, so you know how long you have been out.
