Pre Event Info

As he won the novelty event last year it's Simon Blanchflower's turn  to produce something interesting for us.

The novelty event will be suitable for all ages and abilities. It would be great to see some of our newer members there-its a great opportunity to meet your clubmates. After the morning event (very nearby and the first use of a newly mapped area) there will be a BBQ near Charing in the afternoon, courtesy of Brendon and Alison Howe. Plenty of space for all and even a covered area if the weather is bad. Come to either or both events.

For the BBQ please bring someting for yourself to cook and also a small dish (e.g. savoury, salad, cheese, dessert etc for 4-5 people) to share. Condiments will be provided.

Please let Simon know if you will coming to the event and/or BBQ and, if possible, what you will bring to share. He will then send you directions. Contact details below.

It will be a 45 minute score event with a twist. Suitable for all. Final scores will be subject to handicap adjustment!

As there is very limited parking at the forest we will assemble at Alison and Bendon's house and then travel, ready changed, 5k (10 mins) to the forest carpark in the minimum number of cars. Returning for the BBQ afterwards.

Some tips...a pen or pencil may be helpful, don't forget your compass and, as brambles are growing fast, full leg cover is strongly advised.
