Directions / Parking
The small car park for RSPB Tudeley Woods Nature Reserve on Half Moon Lane (also known as Dislingbury Lane), 500m E of the A21.
NOTE! There are extensive roadworks on the A21 nearby & it’s easy to miss the turning.
Travelling South on the A21 watch out for the yellow ‘Site Office’ sign and entrance – the
turning is about 150m further on, unsigned.
Travelling North on the A21 you cannot turn right, so you have to loop back at the next
junction (A26 & A2014). Nearest railway station High Brooms (4km).

Registration:19:00 to 19:15 (please don’t be late).
Briefing and mass start at 19:30 sharp.
60 minute score suitable for all abilities. Visit as many controls as you can. 20 Controls, 90-99 and 100-109. 90s first or 100s first, changeover when/where you like. 1 point per control, with a penalty of 1 point per minute or part minute beyond 60 mins.
Explanation of Score courses
You don't have to visit all the controls! There is usually a time limit, instead of a set course. Points are scored for visiting controls, and deducted for finishing over the time limit. You decide which controls to visit, and in which sequence. Sometimes controls have different points values. You will need to carry a watch or phone, so you know how long you have been out.

Seniors £4, Juniors £1. Dibber hire £1.
1:7,500 scale map with 5m contours. Maps will be printed on A4 waterproof paper. Mixed forest with some intricate contour detail. Some steep slopes and a river valley. Bracken and undergrowth are present at this time of year.

Before travelling to any orienteering event please make sure you are aware of and following government lockdown rules. To enable us to maintain social distancing requirements, we will not be offering coaching to beginners at the start. If you havent tried orienteering before and need guidance please contact our head coach in the first instance.
To ensure that we comply with Government and British Orienteering guidelines and make our events Covid secure and safe for participants and volunteers, all events will be pre-entry and pre-payment only.
During the on-line entry process, you will select your preferred start window from those available for your course. You must then make payment to reserve your start window. Please do not turn up at the event unless you have pre-entered.
On event day turn up for your allocated start slot
Always respect others & social distance even when orienteering
Please move away from the map box after collecting your map.
At control sites do not touch the control, and move through quickly.
Do not congregate at the Finish.
At Download ensure you are drip and spittle free before downloading.
