Five orienteers go cycling

What to do when there's no orienteering!

Fri 14 Apr 2017

Bike ride organised by Mark Glaisher

Some of you will know that the army organises a series of orienteering events on Wednesdays. Several Saxons members who are semi/fully retired or able to get occasional Wednesdays off go to these events - normally held in Surrey or further west. When the event is too far away for normal people to travel to there is a hole in the 'fixtures' diary. To fill this gap a cycle ride was organised from Aylesford to Chatham (to look at an exhibition which turned out to be closed due to 'unforeseen' circumstances) and back. Five of us had a good ride in good company. If you are interested in joining the BAOC awaydayers and get a reminder of possible lifts to the events get in touch with Mark.
