London City Race Urban

Tue 6 Sep 2022

Fast and furious - urban orienteering in the City of London. The fastest sightseeing tour there is!

Fifteen members of Saxons travelled to London on Saturday 3rd September for the 13th London City Race run by South London Orienteers. Starting in Temple, historic alleyways, St Pauls Cathedral, and the risk of entering the multilevel Barbican, the courses didn't disappoint. A last minute closure of Ludgate Hill due to filming added some extra complications to the route choice, but the weather was kind and a great time was had by everyone.
Congratulations to our three prize winners - Austin Howe 3rd M16-,  Alison Howe 2nd W40+ and Beryl Pring 1st W75, and a huge thank you to SLOW for organising.
