More Overseas Success for Saxons
In early November Sarah Howes went off to Italy for the XXXVIII Venice Orienteering Meeting which involves lots of fun navigating around the intricate pattern of streets, alleyways, squares, canals and bridges that make up Venice.

After a busy summer with races in Harrogate, Ghent, Sopot (Poland), London and finally this weekend in hilly Machico (Madeira) Brian Henry was confirmed in 2nd place for the series in Mens Super Vets while Renata came 11th in Womens Super Vets. Well done to them both.

Saxons Success at the Southern Championships
The November Classic in the New Forest is one of the highlights of the season for the Southern clubs, and this year was also the venue for the Southern Championships.

A dozen people attended the Training Session at Oldbury Hill on 1st October. The woods were in fine form, the weather was kind, and there were plenty of different drills for our budding athletes to get their teeth into.
Saxon represents England at Veteran Home Internationals
Alison Howe represented England at the Veteran Home Internationals (VHI) last weekend (30 Sept/1 Oct) in the Forest of Dean. England emerged victorious on the individual and relay days, beating Ireland, Scotland and Wales – the ‘home nations’.
