Planning colour coded courses
Simon Maytum explains how to plan course to the correct technical difficulty
Getting the correct technical difficulty (TD) is essential to good course planning. In our corner of the country, with its good selection of paths and other line features, it is usually easy to produce good courses of TD1 and TD2. It is however difficult to find areas that are consistently capable of attaining TD5; a long journey north or west is needed for this.
