Well, the first woodland KNC of the season is now over. It was good weather and a good turnout of 40 with several night-O virgins converged on the Leather Bottle car park in Cobham. Unlike last year, the organiser managed to get all of the controls out by 7:10 so there wasn't too much of a panic at the start. There were the usual problems with people arriving late, not clearing, and not putting their names on the results slips but these didn't take too much effort to sort out. My apologies for putting control 50 on the wrong boundary but I have looked at everybody's results and I have given a credit to those who got the controls on either side, I have also deducted points for the controls punched out of sequence. I obviously made the course far too hard but I think it is good if even the best runners have to decide what controls to leave out.
