Saxons at World Masters O Champs
Alan Hickling and Jean Fitzgerald took part in the WMOC in Denmark
No medals were won but it was a really enjoyable event with good courses and a great atmopshere. There were two sprint events, two middle distance events and a long distance event, with opportunities to take in 'model' events on the 'off' days. Also a great opportunity for some sightseeing, with the sprint final being held around Christiansborg in the centre of Copenhagen. WMOC is for orienteers in age classes of 35 and over, and it was great to see the older competitors (there were several M90s) being cheered down the run in. Next year the WMOC is being held in Latvia. If its as good as Denmark I'd encourage you to sign up (preliminary details: http://wmoc2019.lv)!
